La Pastora is a charming neighborhood located on the hills that overlook San Marcos. This small community is famous for producing some of the best coffee in the world - the Tarrazu coffee. The unique flavor of this coffee is attributed to the local climate, the soil, and the altitude. The coffee trees, which grow on the steep hillsides, require special care and attention. As a result, almost all of the coffee is harvested manually by skilled workers who carefully select the ripest coffee cherries. This meticulous process ensures that only the highest quality coffee beans are used to create a truly exceptional coffee.
